Each of you will be designing a wooden chair that is perfect for unique human size. Our first step is to draw a human scale flat mannequin using your own body.
Step 1: Measure the parts from your own body using a tape measure (head, neck, spine, arms and legs etc.).
Step 2: Record measurements in drawing form on paper.
Step 3: Transfer these drawings into CAD.
Step 4: Print to scale (1"= 1').
Step 5: Glue to card stock and add hinges so it can fold. Use wires to make joints that move.
Additional step: Do research online of how and why these models are needed. Write a paragraph explaining your process based on your experience and research.
Bring the drawings, cardstock model, and written description to class on Wednesday.
